Roanoke Valley Television was recognized with several Summit Awards for excellence in public relations in 2023. Awards included; the Lin Chaff Award for Creativity and a Gold Summit Award in the category of Video 2-Minutes or Less for Safety Starts with You in collaboration with Roanoke Sheriff's Office; a Gold Summit Award in the PSA category for T-Rex Trail in collaboration with Roanoke County Parks; and a Silver Summit Award in the category of Video Over 2-Minutes for 52 Weeks of Reading in collaboration with Roanoke City Schools.
